Winners to be announced at the upcoming Awards Luncheon on September 28 in New York City.
We are proud and honored to share that the Diversity Marketing Consortium (DMC) has been named a finalist in this year’s Ragan CSR & Diversity Awards. As described by Ragan, “the organizations, people and teams on this list have demonstrated a commitment to corporate social responsibility and a deep understanding of the power of diversity and inclusion. This recognition is a testament to their visionary leadership and dedication to making a positive impact on society.”
In acknowledgment of how the DMC drives growth for diverse-led startups through pro bono marketing services, we are one of two finalists in the ‘Allyship’ category, which highlights organizations that support marginalized individuals or groups. Our selection only further validates our continued efforts to level the playing field for underrepresented entrepreneurs and is a testament to the impact we’ve made to date.
The DMC was founded with the recognition that historically underserved entrepreneurs do not have equal access to opportunities. Traditionally, and still to this day, founders that identify as female, Black, LatinX, and members of other underrepresented communities, have struggled to secure adequate funding and resources for their businesses, which directly impacts their ability to invest in essential growth drivers like marketing and public relations. The support we provide these entrepreneurs through the DMC helps them gain increased visibility with investors, customers, and other key stakeholders that are crucial for business growth.
With more than 50 brands supported to date, the DMC has provided more than $1.7 million worth of pro bono services in support of underrepresented and underserved founders. Our strategic partnerships with Forbes and Workable also offer additional resources to startups, reinforcing the DMC's commitment to their success.
The winners of Ragan’s CSR & Diversity Awards will be announced at the upcoming Awards Luncheon on September 28 in New York City, so stay tuned to find out if we won!
